Ingredients:

  1. 500gm gajar
  2. ½ cup milk
  3. ½ cup sugar
  4. 4 tsp ghee
  5. 1 tsp cardamom powder
  6. Few almonds 
  7. Few cashews 
  8. Few raisins 
  9. 3 tsp dry coconut powder 

Preparation of Gajar ka Halwa with step-by-step instructions and video:

  1. Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker 
  2. Add grated gajar to the cooker and fry them until color changes
  3. Add milk to it and mix everything and fry for a minute or bring to a boil
  4. Close the pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistles 
  5. After pressure leaves open the lid and cook until milk evaporates 
  6. Heat the ghee in a pan and add almonds and cashews to it, fry until they get golden brown color remove from the pan and add to the gajar mixture 
  7. Add raisins to the pan and fry for a while And remove from the pan and add to the gajar mixture 
  8. Add dry coconut to it and keep it aside
  9. Now keep the cooker on stove and add cardamom powder and dry coconut powder to it, mix everything and cook for another minute and turn off the flame
