Palak rice with step by step instructions

Ingredients:
- 2 cups rice
- 4 cups water
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 tsp ghee
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 elachi
- 2 inch cinnamon
- 3 cloves
- 1 tsp jeera
- 7 green chilli
- 1 cup palak
- 1 tomato
- Salt as per taste
- ½ tsp sugar
- 1 onion, chopped in small size
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Few curry leaves
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- Few coriander leaves
Other preparations:
- Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes
- Grind the green chilies, palak and tomato
- Add salt and sugar to it and make them paste
Preparation of palak rice with step by step instructions:
- Heat the oil and ghee in a heavy bottomed vessel
- Add jeera, cloves, elachi, bay leaves and cinnamon, fry until they splutter
- Add onion to it and stir everything fry until they get transparent maintain low flame
- Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder to it and stir everything until raw smell goes out
- Add palak paste for cook for 5 minutes and cook until raw smell goes out from the palak
- Add soaked rice to the vessel and fry for 2 minutes
- Add water to it, salt as per taste and stir everything
- Add coriander powder and few coriander leaves
- Stir everything and cook for 2 minutes on high flame
- Cook for 10 minutes in medium to low flame
- Switch off the flame
- That's it palak rice is ready to serve
