  • Rava dosa has minimum ingredients and by adding these ingredients dosa gets smooth and texture. Here I am adding maida that is refined wheat flour to bend the rava and other ingredients and also used to spread the batter eventually on the pan. And also adding rice flour gives a nice crispy dosa.
  • Coconut chutney is the best combination of rava dosa, and coconut chutney is very simple just we need to grind all the ingredients at once that it.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup suji or rava
  2. ½ cup rice flour 
  3. ½ cup refined wheat flour/ mandatory
  4. 1 inch ginger, grated
  5. 3 green chillies, chopped finely
  6. 1 onion, chopped in small size
  7. 1 tsp jeera
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. Few curry leaves, chopped in small size
  10. 2 tsp curd
  11. Water as required 

Preparation of rava dosa with step by step instructions:

  1. Add rava, rice flour, maida to the mixing bowl 
  2. Add ginger, chillies, jeera and salt as per taste, mix them completely 
  3. Add curd to it and mix them, after that add water to it and mix them completely
  4. Heat the pan and add chopped onions to the pan that are required for dosa
  5. And spread rava dosa batter slowly over the pan
  6. Spread oil to the dosa on edges, cook for a minute, press the dosa slightly so that the onions stick to the dosa and flip the dosa and cook for a while
  7. And cook both side upto light golden color on each side maintain low to medium flame
  8. And remove from the pan and repeat same process for remaining batter
  9. That's it rava dosa is ready to serve

For coconut chutney/ kobbari pachadi recipe with step by step instructions:

  • Cook time: 5 minutes 
  • Total Time: 15 minutes 

Ingredients:

  1. ½ fresh coconut, chopped in small size
  2. 3 tsp roasted gram/ putnalu
  3. 5 green chilies
  4. 1 tsp roasted jeera
  5. Salt as per taste
  6. Small lemon size tamarind 
  7. 4 garlic 
  8. Water as required 

Preparation of coconut chutney/ kobbari pachadi:

  1. Take a mixer jar and put all the ingredients in that jar
  2. Grind them fine paste by adding some water
  3. And take that chutney to the bowl or serving blow 

For thadaka:

Ingredients:

  1. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  2. 1 tsp mustard 
  3. Few curry leaves
  4. ½ tsp turmeric powder
  5. ¼ tsp Hing 

Preparation of thadaka:

  1. Heat the oil on the pan
  2. Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves and fry until they splutter 
  3. Add turmeric powder and hing and turn off the flame 
  4. Add this thadaka to the chutney and mix completely
  5. That's coconut chutney is ready to serve
