Tomato and onion pickle is very tasty and here we used raw onions to enhance the flavor of the pickle. We can store this in a refrigerator for 2 to 3 days, it is a very quick and easy recipe. It goes well with hot rice with ghee and this pickle wow it's tasty yummy. By adding garlic to the chopper and also in thadaka it helps to lower the blood pressure, and garlic has many health benefits.

Tomato onion pickle by using hand chopper consume time is:

Ingredients:

  1. 5 tomatoes 
  2. 3 onions
  3. 7 garlic 
  4. 2 tsp red chilli powder 
  5. Salt as per taste 
  6. 2 tsp oil 

For thadaka:

  1. 2 tsp oil
  2. 3 dry red chilies 
  3. 5 garlic crushed 
  4. 1 tsp mustard seeds 
  5. 1 tsp cumin seeds 
  6. ½ tsp hing
  7. ½ tsp turmeric powder 
  8. Few curry leaves 
  9. Few coriander leaves 
  10. Few mint leaves

Preparation of tomato onion pickle by using hand chopper:

  1. Heat the pan and add chopped tomato and add oil to it
  2. Cover the lid and cook them in low flame for  7 minutes and turn off the flame 
  3. Take the hand chopper add roughly chopped onions and pull the handle for 20 to 25 times or upto finely chopped
  4. Add garlic to it and repeat the process now pull the handle for 5 times
  5. Add red chilli powder, salt and pull the handle for 5 times
  6. After that add cooked tomatoes to it and repeat the process pull the handle for 5 to 10 times
  7. That's it tomato onion pickle is ready 

For thadaka:

  1. Heat the oil in a pan 
  2. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds fry them until they splutter 
  3. Add crushed garlic and dry red chilies to it and fry them for a while 
  4. Add curry leaves and turmeric powder to it and fry them
  5. Add hing and mint leaves, mix everything 
  6. Add tomato onion paste to it and mix everything and cook for 2 minutes, add coriander leaves and turn off the flame 
  7. That's it tomato onion pickle is ready to serve
