I really hate to eat Gobi but after trying this recipe it has an amazing taste. And we are preparing once a month. It goes well with Chapathi and plain rice too. Gobi should clean in hot water so that the fly or insects will go away. It cleans well in the hot water.

Aloo Gobi curry consume time is:

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cauliflower/ Gobi
  2. 4 aloo
  3. 2 tomatoes, chopped in small size 
  4. 4 tsp oil
  5. 1 tsp cumin seeds 
  6. 1 tsp mustard seeds 
  7. 1 bay leaf
  8. 1 big onion, chopped in small size 
  9. 2 tsp red chilli powder 
  10. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 
  11. 1 tsp turmeric powder 
  12. Salt as per taste 
  13. 1 tsp coriander powder 
  14. Few curry leaves 
  15. 2 green chilies, chopped slightly 
  16. ½ tsp garam masala 
  17. Water as required 

Other preparations:

  1. Peel the potatoes/aloo and cut into a cubes and boil the potatoes (pressure cook the potatoes for 2 whistles) by adding some salt and turmeric powder. 
  2. After pressure leaves remove potatoes from water and boil the same water 
  3. Add Gobi to it and turn off the flame. Remove from the water after a minute and fry the Gobi with 2 drops of oil

Preparation of Aloo Gobi curry with step-by-step instructions and video:

  1. Heat the oil in a pan 
  2. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, after a while Add bay leaf to it and stir
  3. Add curry leaves and green chilies, cook for a while 
  4. Add onion and mix everything, cook until onion gets transparent 
  5. Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric powder, mix everything until raw smell goes out of it 
  6. Add tomatoes and mix everything, cook until tomatoes get soften 
  7. Add red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, garam masala and mix everything maintain low to medium flame, cook a minute 
  8. Add some water to it and mix everything together cover the lid
  9. Add gobi/cauliflower to it and give a mix and cover the lid, cook for another minute and maintain low to medium flame 
  10. Add cooked potatoes to it and mix slowly cook for a minute 
  11. Add water as required mix everything and cover the lid cook until the water evaporates or cook for another minute in low to medium flame after that turn the flame
